Which browser do I need to use to access my Focus account?
  • Google Chrome is the preferred browser but Firefox will work as well.

  • Internet Explorer IS NOT a supported browser.

What is my username?
  • Your username is your first.lastname
  • Do not login using the student ID-this is not linked to a parent account.

How does my student reset their password when locked out of their account?
  • The Data Clerk at your child’s school or Amy Calhoun at the SPO office (850) 674-8734 x222 can reset student passwords.

How do I (a parent) reset my password?

From the Focus Login Screen, click on the orange button that says, “Click here if you forgot your login”.

If you cannot get it to reset then please contact:

How do Parents register for Parent Portal?
  • From the Focus login screen, click on “Click here to register for a new account.”  Add required information.

  • Take your ID to the school to verify.

  • If the Parent is unsure and needs guidance to register, they should visit/contact their child’s school.

How do I register/add an additional child?

Do not create a new account. 

Creating multiple accounts will cause issues with viewing the student’s information. 

To add additional children who are currently enrolled, visit the Parent Portal Login Page and click on the orange button that says,  “Click here to add another student to your existing account.”

What happens to my portal account when my child leaves elementary school for middle school or transfers to another district school?
Focus Parent Portal accounts roll over from year to year, so when your child moves from elementary to middle or middle to high school, you do not have to create a new account. Return to Top
How do I know if all my children are listed on my Parent Portal account? What if I do not see my students listed.
  • On the Parent Portal student page, the pulldown at the top right of the screen will contain all students linked to your Parent Portal account.  Use the drop down in top right. 

  • For adding additional students, from the Parent Portal Login screen click on “Click here to add another student to your existing account.”

What happens if I change my email address or no longer have access to that account?

Please go to your child’s school and the school’s Data Clerk can update your email address.

Can I access the portal using my mobile device?
  • Yes, please download the free Calhoun County District Schools FOCUS app for parents and students through the Apple and Android stores.  The app is a great addition to the Focus Portal and is designed to enable quick and easy access from your mobile phone.  This includes your student’s grades, attendance, schedule, upcoming assignments, social media links, and district information.  In addition, important school notifications can be pushed to the app.  Now you can easily access Focus in a mobile app.  The Focus Portal and Focus app use the same login credentials.

  • You can still access your parent portal using the Google Chrome web browser on your phone.
