Notice is hereby given that the Calhoun County School District invites qualified firms to submit a bid for a portable generator for Carr School.

Bids Due: Sealed bids will be received until January 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM CST, at the Calhoun County School District Office, 17586 Main Street, W, Blountstown Florida 32424.

Bid Documents are available by emailing kim.milligan@calhounflschool.org. All submitted bids must include copies of Insurance, all relevant licenses, and other required forms included in the bid specifications.
Calhoun County School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and to waive any and all minor irregularities or informalities in any bid.

Incident at Altha School Resolved Safely
Late this afternoon, school administrators at Altha School were notified of unidentified individuals on school property outside of the secured campus during regular school hours. The
School Resource Officer (SRO) immediately made contact with the individuals and informed them that access to campus during school hours is not permitted.

As a precaution, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office and the Calhoun County School District continued to investigate. The individuals were located at the edge of Bay County, Florida, where they were further questioned by deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.

Following a thorough investigation, both law enforcement agencies determined the individuals did not have any malicious intent. At no time was there a threat to students or staff.

The Calhoun County School District and local law enforcement agencies remain committed to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment and appreciates the cooperation of all agencies involved.
